Snippits from my mind:
I hope you are enjoying the melon! There is lots more of that Juicy Dessert on the way!
The fall plantings continue! Fall kale, cabbage, broccoli, spinach officially in the ground! Hooray! And the radishes and tender Arugula, tatsoi, mustard, mizuna is up, along with the carrots, some more salad mix, and those beautiful daikon and watermelon radishes. Peter, Doug and I planted our hearts out today, and we will likely do it again in the future!
Check out our lovely tomatillos by making some Salsa Verde- try it with us! Jim and I are making the raw version of this tonight (minus the cilantro L but with a little of the coveted lime juice!) http://www.foodnetwork.com/recipes/salsa-verde-green-tomatillo-salsa-recipe.html
I met and adorable cricket that would not let me take its picture. It saw it hopping in what Doug dubbed the “Café", where we eat our lunch every day. I held out my finger and it hopped right on. I gave it a crumb of bread and it held it in its legs and chowed down. It really made my day the best day ever. I felt like a cartoon.
Tomatillos- salsa verde! Got to eat it.
Also, our peppers are turning red! Did you see our lovely roasting peppers at market last week? So sweet, crunchy, and colorful!
See you guys at market!!!
