The week of powdered earth! Just walking along the paths between our carefully placed vegetables raises enough dust to clog my nose! What does that mean for us? We have to be careful to irrigate our newly planted crops thoroughly so they don’t die of shock as they settle into their new xeriscape. It also means there is nothing between us and the loads of impending work. There has not been a rain day that forces a breather and a bit of office time for a while. And we are making good progress because of it! The potatoes are all planted, along with an endless list of others (onions, celery, celery root, leeks, cabbage, kohlrabi, to name a few!)
Let’s all hope for rain together!
